Tim Altum – Chairman of the Board
Mr. Altum is a geologist and reservoir modeler who has 28 years experience in the oil & gas industry. He has worked in various capacities at ARCO, Pennzoil, Devon, Landmark, and is currently employed at Nexen Oil and Gas. He has also consulted for companies around the globe - Denmark, Ecuador, Argentina, China, and the Asia Pacific region. His expertise is the integration of scientific disciplines such as geology, geophysics and petrophysics to create 3D geologic earth models.
Mr. Altum identified a need for the technology that was the foundation of 3GiG when he was on a project to drill multiple wells in a row on a tight budget and schedule. Much of the required work to approve budgets and well plans were redundant yet took a lot of time to gather and then disseminate the data and information. He thought that there must be a better way and conceived the prototype of what is now 3GiG’s Prospect Director system.
Byrd Larberg - Director
Mr. Larberg is an executive managing consultant with significant international experience at executive and senior management levels with both major and large Independent oil and gas companies, including Shell Oil, Unocal, and later as President and COO of Burlington Resources International. He has served on several for-profit and not-for-profit Boards, including 3GiG, Meridian Resources, and the Houston YMCA. Mr. Larberg's skills range from development and implementation of integrated exploration and production strategy to effecting organizational change around compensation models, geoscience best practices, and technical excellence to improve company performance.
Kandy Lukats – President & CEO
Ms. Lukats’ has extensive global experience in the oil & gas and technology industries. With a background in Geology, she has worked for BP and Landmark/Halliburton. Her passion has always focused on the application and design of information technology to enhance oil and gas exploration and production. Her roles have ranged from workflow consulting, operations management, management consulting, partnership account management and marketing leading to executive management positions, including VP of Exploration and Development Systems for Landmark at Halliburton. Ms. Lukats became President and CEO of 3GiG in 2005 and has focused on growing the company and technology offering through long-term relationships/partnering with oil industry clients, technology and service companies and generating a return for the investment partners.
Jeff Shebitz - Director
Mr. Shebitz is a Credit Manager for the Americas region at Wilhelmsen Ships Service, a leading maritime services provider. With a degree in accounting from the City University of New York, Jeff has worked for 28 years for Wilhelmsen various parts of the US. Besides working at Wilhelmsen, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and providing guidance to 3GiG's rapidly growing company.
Eric Williams – Director and VP Research and Development
Mr. Williams has worked for 3GiG since its inception in 2003 and currently holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development. He has had over 15 years experience in software development with a focus on web-based solutions for the Oil and Gas sector. This experience has included work with Halliburton, Sperry-Sun, Devon Energy, Schlumberger and others. Eric has served as a board member of several software companies touching various fields from new media, insurance and gaming. Eric’s expertise and management of the development team has been brought to bear in the development of the early prototypes and the subsequent releases of 3GiG’s flagship product Prospect Director.
